Starting September 12, 2022, Salesforce will be adding a new certification to its arsenal: Salesforce Certified Associate. But what is it?
Salesforce Certified Associate
The Salesforce Certified Associate certification is aimed at beginners and end users of the platform who want to get a proper foundational understanding. It particularly targets those who have 0-6 months of Salesforce experience.
Possible demographic:
Users new to Salesforce
Salesforce superusers
Sales associates and managers
Marketing associates and managers
Aspiring Salesforce administrators
Customer service agents
The previous baseline certification, Salesforce Certified Administrator, will still exist for those who wish to challenge themselves to move into a Salesforce professional career path. This certified has various hard-to-grasp technical aspects to it, especially for those who are not accustomed to software and IT-related work. I can personally attest that this was one of the toughest certificates to acquire. However, I do believe that anyone with the willingness and persistence can indeed overcome it.

As mentioned, this certification will officially be available on September 12, 2022. Unlike the other professional certificates, the associate examination will cost only $75.00 USD. Most other examinations are $200.00 or $400.00 USD to take.
